Essential Qalification:
a) Syrang of Lascars: i) 10th Passed ii) Syrang Certificate granted under Inland Vessels Act, 1917 or Merchant Shipping Act, 1958. iii) Two years experience as Syrang-in-Charge of a registered vessel of twenty horse power.
b) Lascar-I: i) 10th passed ii) Knowledge of Swimming iii) One year experience on a registered vessel.
c) Fireman (Boat Crew): i) 10th passed ii) Knowledge of Swimming iii) Certificate of having completed pre-sea training course.
d) Topass: i) 10th pass ii) Knowledge of Swimming
